1. Introduction
This Privacy Notice explains how Check Point Software Technologies Ltd, including all of its affiliates and subsidiaries worldwide (collectively: “Check Point” or “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data during the recruitment process. It applies to all candidates applying for roles with us globally.
2. Data Controller and Global Data Management
The employing entity in each country is the local data controller responsible for your personal data. However, due to our global operations and centralized HR systems, your data will always be transferred to, and managed by, our centralized human resources systems, and may be transferred within the countries Check Point operates. This centralized processing allows us to efficiently manage our global talent pool.
3. What Personal Data We Collect
We may collect the following categories of personal data:
- Identification & Contact Data: Name, ID number, address, email address, phone number, and other contact data.
- Application Data: Information you provide in your CV/resume, cover letter, application forms, and any other documents submitted, including employment history, educational background, qualifications, skills, languages, and professional licenses.
- Interview & Assessment Data: Notes from interviews, interview analysis and interview recordings (to the extent permitted by the applicable laws or subject to your consent).
- Sensitive Personal Data (Special Categories of Data): You may, when permitted by local laws, share with us sensitive personal data, such as information about your background or health. Providing this information is always voluntary, and your application will not be impacted if you choose not to, unless legally required for the role.
- Publicly Available Information: Information from professional networking sites (e.g., LinkedIn) or other publicly available sources, where relevant to the role and permissible by law.
- Test results: Outcomes from any assessments or tests you complete during the recruitment process.
- Reviews: Feedback or evaluations generated by us throughout the recruitment process.
- Other data you may share: Any additional information you provide to us during the recruitment process.
4. Consent
You are not legally required to provide personal information, including your resume, and doing so is entirely voluntary. However, if you choose not to share your contact details, resume, or relevant experience, we might not be able to assess your suitability or contact you about the position.
By providing and/or submitting any information to Check Point in connection with your recruitment process, you accept and agree to Check Point usages of such information in evaluating your application and for related purposes as outlined below.
You confirm that all the information you provide is accurate, complete, and relates to you. Do not include details about others unless they list as references, and only after obtaining their informed consent.
5. How We Use Your Personal Data
We process your personal data for the following purposes and based on the following legal grounds:
- To administer and manage your application: This includes evaluating your skills, qualifications, and suitability for role at Check Point, scheduling interviews, and communicating with you throughout the recruitment process. - To consider you for future job opportunities: We may retain your application details and other information generated during the recruitment process to assess your suitability for future applications and/or to contact you about other suitable roles that may arise at Check Point. - To defend our legal rights: In case of legal claims or disputes. (Legal Basis: Legitimate Interests – to protect our legal interests).
6. Sharing Your Personal Data
We may share your Personal data with:
- Internal Stakeholders: Relevant employees within Check Point involved in the recruitment process (e.g., hiring managers, HR personnel, interviewers).
- Third-Party Service Providers (sub-processors): Suppliers that provide services to us, such as human resources management systems, applicant tracking systems, background check providers, assessment tools, and recruitment agencies. Check Point is a global company, and as part of our recruitment process, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in centralized systems located outside your country of residence. These transfers may involve countries with different data protection laws.

- Data Privacy Framework – Check Point Software Technologies, Inc. and its subsidiaries, complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF), the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Check Point’s headquarters is in Israel, which has been recognized by the European Commission, the United Kingdom, and the Swiss government as providing an adequate level of protection for personal data.
8. How Long We Keep Your Personal Data
We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the duration of the recruitment process, and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. If your application is unsuccessful, we may retain your data for a limited period to consider you for other suitable vacancies, subject to your consent where required by law. Once your data is no longer required, we will securely delete or anonymize it.
9. Your Rights
Under data protection laws such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you may have specific rights regarding your personal data. For example, you may request access to the personal data we maintain about you, update and correct inaccuracies in your personal data, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, have your personal data anonymized or deleted, as appropriate, or exercise your right to data portability to easily transfer your personal data to another company. In addition, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, including in your country of residence.

Before fulfilling your request, we may ask you to provide reasonable information to verify your identity. Please note that there are exceptions and limitations to each of these rights, and that while any changes you make will be reflected in active user databases instantly or within a reasonable period of time, we may retain personal data for backups, archiving, prevention of fraud and abuse, analytics, satisfaction of legal obligations, or where we otherwise reasonably believe that we have a legitimate reason to do so.
10. How We Use AI in the Recruitment Process
We may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) and automated tools to assist us in various stages of the recruitment process. This can include, for example, helping us to efficiently review applications, identify candidates whose skills and experience align with job requirements, analyze tests and interviews or schedule interviews. These tools are used to support our human recruiters and help us manage the high volume of applications more effectively. We do not use AI for any automated decision-making that would impact your application without human oversight.

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including access controls, encryption, and regular audits.
