SmartLSM is designed specifically for the needs of large-scale VPN and security installations, enabling administrators to manage thousands of remote and branch office gateways from a single SmartCenter server. The SmartLSM management concept is based on "gateways profile" templates which are centrally defined via the SmartCenter SmartDashboard. Instead of representing a single gateway, each profile represents multiple remote and branch office gateways. In addition, automated processes for policy installation and updates enable rapid deployment, reducing the costs and time required to deploy and manage security for thousands of gateways.
