Robust mechanical design, solid-state UTM-1 Edge N Industrial appliance has no moving parts that could wear out over time. The appliance has a low power consumption of 11.5W and supports concurrent AC and DC inputs via an external 12V AC power adaptor and the DC power connector that accepts voltages from +12V to +60V DC, -48V DC. The UTM-1 Edge N Industrial Appliance is certified to withstand the most demanding operating environments and conditions.

The new UTM-1 Edge N Industrial Appliance offers the highest performance in their class with up to 1 Gbps of firewall throughput, up to 200 Mbps of VPN throughput, up to 180 Mbps of IPS throughput and up to 60,000 connections per second. The appliance comes with six 10/100/1000BaseT RJ45 Ethernet ports and a 1000Base-F fiber option for the DMZ port.

High Availability
High-availability options ensure that security functions keep pace with business-critical applications and other network activity. UTM-1 Edge N Industrial appliances support WAN redundancy and load-balancing to ensure persistent connectivity and service availability. Should the broadband connection become unavailable, dialup support can provide a backup Internet connection.

UTM-1 Edge N Industrial appliances include the industry’s most proven firewall technology, based on the same Check Point technologies that secure the Fortune 100. Comprehensive network access control allows blocking of unwanted applications such as IM and P2P, while an advanced Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) ensures protection of remote sites from both known and unknown threats, such as Denial-of-Service, port scans and buffer overflows.
