CIOs Designate Check Point's Technical Certifications as Industry's Most Prominent Security Certifications

41% of CIOs Surveyed Report that Check Point Security Administration Is Critical IT Skill Set; Demonstrates Value of Check Point Technical Certifications

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - Sept. 22, 2004 - Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that Check Point security administration skills gained through achieving technical certifications like the Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) and Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE), ranked as the third most valued skill set and also the top security skill set desired by IT departments according to findings published in the Robert Half Technology Information Technology Hiring Index and Skills Report.

The study, which polled 1,400 CIOs from U.S. companies with 100 or more employees, was conducted by an independent research firm and developed by Robert Half Technology. Respondents identified IT skill sets that they deemed to be the most important, and the top three in order were Microsoft Windows administration (NT/2000/XP), Visual Basic development and Check Point security administration.
