Check Point VPN -1/FireWall-1 Versions for Enterprise & Small Office First Integrated Security Product Checkmark Certified by West Coast Labs

(NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced that both its market-leading enterprise and small office version of VPN-1T/FireWall-1 has received Checkmark Certification from West Coast Labs, affiliates of SC Magazine, a leading worldwide computer security publication. Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 for enterprises and VPN-1/FireWall-1 SmallOfficeT excelled in rigorous testing and in real-world settings to become the first integrated VPN/firewall product awarded Checkmark certification.

The Checkmark certification, a recognition of the highest levels of Internet security, is governed by West Coast Labs of the United Kingdom, a globally recognized independent testing and certification organization. Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 SmallOffice was certified on the Intrusion.com SecureComT PDS 2100 appliance, a Linux-based platform integrating Check Point's market-leading technology to secure eBusiness connections easily, reliably and affordably. Additionally, the full edition of Check Point VPN-1/FireWall-1 was tested and certified on the Sun Solaris platform. The certification is designed to give users clear and unambiguous information about the security performance of the information security solutions they are using or proposing to use. The Checkmark System delivers reliable and up-to-date verification that a solution meets industry-accepted and published standards. Security solutions are put into laboratories and tested under real world conditions.

The Checkmark provides a clear and unambiguous indication of attainment of a relevant standard for users of computer security solutions. The Checkmark consists of a standard, a test and a certificate. The standard is a real-world, industry-accepted test. The test may be carried out by West Coast Labs or by an accredited tester.
