Security Vendor Partner of the Year Award Illustrates
Check Point's Success in Supporting the Channel
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - Dec. 6, 2004 - Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced it has been named "Security Vendor Partner of the Year" at the Computer Reseller News (CRN) Channel Awards 2004 event. Judged by a panel of analysts, editors and corporate executives, the awards recognized the top IT security vendors, distributors and resellers in the industry at a gala dinner held on November 17, 2004.
Check Point was up against other security players including McAfee, Inc., Sophos, Symantec UK Ltd. and Websense but was deemed to have done the most in 2004 to help its resellers develop profitable businesses. The judges assessed each vendor for its success in delivering new initiatives to support the channel and for evidence of innovation and achievement in these activities.

Check Point has made significant investments into the channel during 2004 with the introduction of the new Valued Partner Program, improved accessibility to Check Point executives and an array of successful joint marketing campaigns. As new security threats emerge, Check Point is providing both the products and support for the channel to effectively address these issues and provide new business opportunities.
