Vulnerability Description
EgySpy Keylogger 1.13 is a keylogger that records pressed keys of the infected system in stealth mode. It sends the keystrokes to a predefined email address at predefined interval.
Vulnerability Details
Keystroke logging (often called keylogging) is a method of capturing and recording user keystrokes. Keylogging can be used to provide a means to obtain passwords or encryption keys and thus bypassing other security measures. KeyLoggers are widely available on the Internet.

Protection Overview
By enabling this protection, IPS will detect and block the KeyLogger on SMTP traffic.

In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest SmartDefense update. For information on how to update SmartDefense, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.

To configure the defense, select your product from the list below and follow the related protection steps.

How Can I Protect My Network?
1. In the IPS tab, click Protections > By Protocol > Application Intelligence > Malware Traffic > KeyLoggers.
2. In the right pane, double-click the KeyLogger: EgySpy 1.13 protection.
3. In the Protection Details window, click on Edit. Choose the protection's Action (Override IPS Policy with: Prevent/Detect), and apply Additional Settings.
4. Install policy on all modules.

How Do I Know if My Network is Under Attack?
