Who is Vulnerable?
E-Document versions 3.0 to 3.1
A remote code execution vulnerability has been found in Simple E-Document. The vulnerability is due to the access cookie which could be abused to bypass authentication. A remote attacker can exploit this weakness to upload malicious PHP files which could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the web server.
This protection will detect and block attempts to exploit this vulnerability.
In order for the protection to be activated, update your Security Gateway product to the latest IPS update. For information on how to update IPS, go to SBP-2006-05, Protection tab and select the version of your choice.
